Madonna Buys A Bar

When it comes to family time, you won’t find many more dedicated moms than Madonna.  She was spotted leaving the Kabbalah Center in Beverly Hills on Saturday night with her kids.

And it looks like daughter Lourdes may be following in her mommy’s performing footsteps, as she was seen wearing ballet dance clothes, with her hair pulled back into a tight bun.

When she’s not hanging out with her kids, Madge is tending to her new bar.  Reportedly the Material Girl and her husband, director Guy Ritchie recently purchased the 18th century Punchbowl public house in London’s exclusive Mayfair district.

And it didn’t come cheap.  The Ritchies paid an estimated £2.5 million ($5 million) for the watering hole, which is said to be a regular haunt for celebrities like Barbara Streisand, Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino.

A friend of the couple told press, “Madonna loves the beer and Guy meets all his pals down there. They have been desperate to own this place for a long time and have been making offers on it for ages. Now it has finally happened.”

Claire Danes: Hard at Work on Orson Welles

Millions of girls all over the world would give anything to star opposite “High School Musical” hottie Zac Efron in a major motion picture.  But Claire Danes is actually getting paid to!

The “Igby Goes Down” babe was spotted on the set of her new flick “Me and Orson Welles” earlier today on the Isle of Man, near Ireland.

Claire was clothed in her period costume as she made her way to the craft services trailer for a bite to eat.

“Me and Orson Welles” is about “a teenager who is cast in the Mercury Theatre production of ‘Julius Ceasar’ directed by a young Orson Welles in 1937.”

Zac Efron Gets Back to Work

We spotted him on the set a few days back, and once again Zac Efron continues to busily film his latest project, Me and Orson Welles.

With his hair slicked back, Zac showed up on Thursday morning at the Gaiety Theatre in Douglas, Isle of Man.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Zac’s co-star in Me and Orson Welles is the lovely Claire Danes.

The film, which has a 2009 release date, is the story of “a teenager is cast in the Mercury Theatre production of ‘Julius Ceasar’ directed by a young Orson Welles in 1937.”

Jet-Setting Jessica Alba

The fact that she’s getting further along in her pregnancy makes Jessica Alba’s busy life all the more impressive.

The “Good Luck Chuck” actress was spotted at LAX airport last evening getting ready to board a flight.  And it looks like she was traveling alone, with no signs of her fiancé Cash Warren.

Earlier in the day, Alba was spotted with Warren running some errands and house hunting in Century City, California.  As her due date gets closer, it seems these two lovebirds are thinking about a new nest.

It was less than a week ago that Jessica was charming the audience in a gorgeous deep purple gown at the Oscars.  And instead of dining at the swanky Governor’s Ball, Alba reportedly hit up In-N-Out Burgers.

On her Myspace blog, she wrote, “Instead of hitting up the Governor’s Ball or any other party, we opted for sweats and In-N-Out Burgers. Being preggers kind of takes the fun out of partying until the wee hours.  Sleep always sounds so much better these days.”

She continued, “Another highlight was the fact that I didn’t mess up my lines or trip on my dress.  I did have a stumble backstage… Cash ( Warren, her fiance ) caught [me]. Luckily all the photogs were taking pics of Cameron [Diaz] looking gorgeous in pink.”

Jessica Simpson Plans Trip to Support Troops

It looks like Jessica Alba wasn’t the only famous “Jessica” flying the friendly skies yesterday.  The paparazzi at New York City’s JFK International Airport caught a glimpse of Jessica Simpson landing, having flown in from Los Angeles.

The “With You” singer was looking comfy as she toted her bevy of Louis Vuitton bags (including one with her dog inside) around the terminal. She wore a striped hoodie and a pair of ripped jeans.

According to Simpson’s blog, she’s plugging away at her new country album, and she’s gearing up for a trip overseas to entertain America’s servicemen and women.

She writes, “Hey ya’ll.  I just wanted to say hi, and let you know that I am hard at work on my country record, and I can’t wait to share it will all of you.  I am heading to Kuwait to do a show for the troops, then back in the studio.  I love you all and am so blessed by the support and love you show me everyday!! xoxo jess.”

Rihanna Rocks Dublin In A Sexy Little Outfit

The lads and lasses over in Ireland got quite an eyeful last night as Rihanna brought her “Good Girl Gone Bad” tendencies to RDS Arena in Dublin.

Fresh from a romantic Barbados getaway with new flame Chris Brown, the “Umbrella” singer took the stage in a “show-stopping, bondage-inspired outfit, complete with thigh-high lace up boots and a skimpy PVC corset.”

A few weeks ago, Rihanna hit a career milestone by winning her first Grammy Award.  Still, she says all the success is confusing to her.

She told press, “I look at [my fans] and I still think, ‘Why are you screaming for me?’ I still think of myself as a normal girl.”
 

Paris Hilton Does the Big Apple

When it comes to celebrity sightings, it doesn’t get much better than New York City.  And the Big Apple paparazzi hit the jackpot when Paris Hilton showed up yesterday.

The “Simple Life” babe was spotted out and about in New York, wearing a black trench coat over a black shirt and black pinstripe pants.

She’s been dating her BFF Nicole Richie’s fiancé Joel Madden’s brother Benji for about two weeks now, and according to one source, Benji is already “ready to propose.” Meanwhile, others are less sure of the relationship – claiming that “Benji is using Paris to get ex Sophie Monk back.”

Nonetheless, Paris is also set to star in a new reality show about her searching for a new best friend.  A source told press, “The show is going to be about her searching for a new best friend. Paris is tired of the haters and she’s looking for someone new.”

Audrina Patridge Readies For A New Hills Season

It was a beautiful sunny day in Beverly Hills, California yesterday, and Audrina Patridge was spotted out and about enjoying the weather.

The Hills hottie sported a black halter dress and some flip flops as she made her way around her local Crate & Barrel store as well as the Z Gallery.

And for all you Hills fans, MTV has announced that they’ll be airing eight bonus episodes beginning March 24th.

Reportedly, the new episodes will begin with co-stars Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port’s trip to Paris to work for Teen Vogue.  Of course, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are also part of the action.
 

Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson: Together Again?

They’ve been spotted paying visits to one another’s places. But are Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson really back together again?

According to an Us Weekly insider, the answer is yes. “They are hooking up,” the souce tells, adding, “They have definitely been talking, hanging out and, yes, hooking up.”

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the 28-year-old Fool’s Gold babe broke off her year-long romance with the Darjeeling Limited actor last spring.

The reason for their previous split is said to have occurred “after it became clear to her that his partying took priority over their relationship.”
 

Police Look Into Spears Drug Claims

According to the latest reports in the Britney Spears saga, police in Los Angeles are looking into allegations that the troubled pop tart was drugged by Sam Lufti.

In a statement to AP, Police Captain Kyle Jackson said that charges “are being considered,” though a formal investigation has yet to get underway.

If the LAPD decides to look further into the matter, it will be the Robbery-Homicide division determining whether or not any laws have been violated.

Lufti, who happens to be the pop star’s former manager, is currently under a restraining order, prohibited from coming within 250 yards of the Gimme More singer.
