Jessica Alba’s a Kids’ Choice Favorite

She’s getting further and further along in her pregnancy, but that didn’t stop Jessica Alba from attending the 2008 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday night (March 29).

The Sin City starlet has proven time and time again that she’s a children’s favorite, taking home one of the top awards during the ceremony held at Pauley Pavilion.

Accepting the Favorite Female Movie Star award for her work in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Alba gushed: “I love Nickelodeon! I wore green today in honor of the slime.”

After rattling off a list of people whom she’s grateful to, Alba ended her speech by telling the crowd to a wild response: “I love making movies for you all

Paris Hilton Takes a Tumble in Prague

So much for a stress-free overseas trip, as Paris Hilton took a nasty tumble while out with boyfriend Benji Madden in Prague on Sunday (March 30).

According to insiders, the loved up couple, who are in the capital for Sunday night’s Good Charlotte concert at the Congress Center, started things off with lunch in Staromestka Square.

Upon leaving the restaurant, former Simple Life star and her rocker boyfriend were mobbed by fans and photographers, causing Paris to fall to the ground.

Luckily Benji was nearby, lending a helping hand in getting the heiress back on her feet. The unlikely duo then managed to escape the crowd and get back to their waiting car.

Rihanna’s Night at the Kids’ Choice Awards

Taking a break from her string of charity gigs, R&R hitmaker Rihanna paid a visit to UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion for Saturday night’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

And to the surprise of many, the Umbrella singer and her rumored boyfriend Chris Brown walked the event’s orange carpet separately.

Brown, who picked up the favorite male singer prize, kept his distance from the Barbados beauty as they both took separate turns waving to the throngs of screaming fans.

Chris even went as far as telling reporters, “We’re not in a relationship or anything,” before making his way inside the slime-filled ceremony.

Meanwhile, Rihanna was content chumming it up with fellow celebs such as Ashlee Simpson before tending to her presenting duties alongside Brendan Fraser.

Eva Longoria Loves Lookin’ Good

Always making sure that her appearance is top notch, Eva Longoria Parker stepped out over the weekend for a day of pampering at pal Ken Paves’ salon.

The Desperate Housewives actress has been doing her best to chew up free time while her hubby Tony Parker finishes up the basketball season and gets ready for the playoffs.

In related news, responding to a question from a fan about how Eva keeps her skin in such great shape, Lea Eigard, a skin-care specialist in Beverly Hills, tells: “Eva prefers noninvasive skin care over risky surgery.”

“Before she wed Tony Parker, Eva had Digilight treatment, combining beauty products, electrical pulses and colored lights to tighten and brighten her skin,” Eigard adds.

Hayden Panettiere Pulls Awards Show Double-Duty

Making her rounds at the awards shows, Hayden Panettiere was spotted all over Hollywood last night.  The Heroes hottie first attended the Kids’ Choice Awards, shortly thereafter making her way over to the 2008 Genesis Awards.

The Genesis Awards, produced by The Hollywood Office of the Humane Society of the United States, recognizes celebrities and news media for showcasing animal protection issues.  Panettiere was honored with The Wyler Award for championing the fight against the cruelty of Japan’s whale and dolphin slaughter.

The Wyler Award is given to a celebrity who has generated awareness on behalf of animals that are at risk or threatened.  The award is named after Gretchen Wyler, founder of the Genesis Awards.  Wyler was a former Broadway headliner and animal activist, who recently passed away last year.

Beverly Kaskey, the Senior Director of The Hollywood Office of The Humane Society of the United States, was quoted as saying, “We feel Hayden is a very worthy successor to Sir Paul McCartney, last year’s Wyler Award recipient. She’s an inspiring example to her generation, using her compassion, courage and celebrity to help animals in a very effective way.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: No Wedding Needed

Gossip Girls are happy to bring you the first pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt since the whirlwind of rumors that the Mr and Mrs Smith co-stars tied the knot over the weekend.

Unsurprisingly, the wedding didn’t happen, but the Jolie-Pitt family seemed quite happy being together as they shopped for toys in Houston, Texas on Monday (March 31).

According to a source in the know, “Reports have surfaced about Angelina having gestational diabetes, which may affect her pregnancy. But the family interaction showed no signs of concern.”

And even without the official title of husband and wife, Brad and Angelina continue to be the perfect example of happy and loving parents.

Victoria Beckham’s Birthday Party for Mom

One of the perks of being rich and famous is the ability to repay your parents for the years of hard work and sacrifice they contributed to your career.  And Victoria Beckham hooked her mother up with a smashing good time on her 60th birthday.

Over the weekend, Posh rented out London’s 5-star Claridge’s hotel for the swanky affair, sparing no expense when it came to decoration and catering.

In fact, the vintage pink champagne they drank was one of the priciest.  According to a witness, “I saw at least five bottles of Laurent Perrier pink champagne leave the room empty - and it costs £85 a bottle. But it was clear from the amount of bubbly going into the room that money was no object and Victoria really wanted to spoil her mum and her friends. Everyone was smiling - it looked like a really cool party.”

And when it came to her own attire, Victoria outdid herself once again.  She sported a white and sliver frock with a faux fur bolero.  But one accessory was missing - David Beckham.  He was back in the States with his soccer team, the LA Galaxy.

Tobey Maguire: Family Man

In the midst of his booming movie career, Tobey Maguire still manages to keep first things first.  He was spotted over the weekend spending time with his wife and daughter… awww!

The “Spider-Man” actor looked cool and casual in a white t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of aviator sunglasses as he romped around with daughter Ruby and wife Jennifer Meyer at the park on Coldwater Canyon.

While the kids ran around the park, Tobey and Jennifer enjoyed some time with friends, chatting and laughing all afternoon.

And he’d better get in plenty of family time while he can- Maguire has four films coming out this year, including “Tropic Thunder,” “Brothers,” “Quiet Type,” and “Tokyo Suckerpunch.”

Jodie Foster Premieres Nim’s Island

It’s almost here… this Friday (April 4th) the fantasy/adventure film “Nim’s Island” hits theaters, and Jodie Foster and Abigail Breslin were spotted at the big Hollywood premiere yesterday.

The “Silence of the Lambs” actress looked cute and conservative in a bluish-grey 1940s-style short-sleeved dress as she smiled for the cameras.  Jodie has always been more a fan of letting her acting, rather than her clothes, define her.
Outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Foster cozied up to her co-star Abigail Breslin, who was sporting a very stylish teal blue dress with a pair of boots.

And while “Nim’s Island” is being billed as a children’s movie, it sounds like it will appeal to the whole family.  After all, who wouldn’t love a story about a little girl’s adventures on a wild island?

Paris’ Prague Tumble Update

When traveling to a foreign land, observing all the cultural differences and traditions can be overwhelming.  And for Paris Hilton, it just may have caused her fall.

Preliminary reports suggested that the “Stars are Blind” singer suffered a nasty tumble at the hands of swarming paparazzi.  But now that the pictures have been released, it looks like it was a case of klutziness rather than harassment.

From what we can tell, Paris simply tripped on a single stair leading from the restaurant she was leaving, and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, narrowly escaped stepping on her head.

Rather than helping his injured girlfriend to her feet, Benji chose to yell at the shutterbug who had captured the incident on film.  When she was finally upright, Hilton and Madden hid in a corner between two buildings before being picked up by a chauffeured car.

As they fled the scene a witness heard the heiress mumbling, “Prague, never again!” While it must have been extremely embarrassing to have fallen so publicly, it’s kind of a stretch to blame the entire city.
