Morgan Freeman Involved In Serious Car Accident

In what’s an unexpected and unfortunate occurrence, Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman was involved in a serious car accident in Mississippi on Sunday night (August 3).
According to breaking press reports, “The Dark Knight” star was said to be traveling with an unnamed female passenger just north of the small town of Ruleville at around 11.30pm local time when the crash occurred - with no other vehicles involved besides his own.
The latest word is that “Freeman was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where he is currently receiving treatment.”
At this time, the extent of his injuries are unknown, but state troopers have revealed that Freeman was talking at the scene of the accident before he was taken to the hospital.
Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident, although those details have not yet been released. Stay tuned to Gossip Girls for updates as they become available.
Update: Morgan’s rep Donna Lee has told press, “He has a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage but he is in good spirits. He is going to have surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to correct the damage. He says he’ll be okay and is looking forward to a full recovery.”
